The Studio was founded in 1991 in Saint Petersburg (Russia).

The historical sources are being studied, the plates with samples for painting are being prepared. Scholars of authority act as consultants.
Professional sculptors work on the future figure. In the process of working with the model great attention is paid to plastic anatomy, nature of drapery of different materials, large-scale reproduction of the elements of the uniform, weapons and accessories. The works of the sculptors have been highly appraised at the international contests.
Rigging and replication is performed by an experienced molding-form maker. He is the link between the sculptor's creation and the manufacture of metal figures.
Molding and assembly of metal figures is done by skilled jewellers. The manufacturing procedure of tin and leaden figures and the applied tools are identical to those used in jewelry production. Tiniest details on the figure, joining of separate elements, reinforcement of slack tin elements with steel pins, use of galvanoplastics are all refer to the field of activity of our craftsmen.
The metal figure acquires its original and unique shape having gone through the hands of a miniature painter. While painting the figure the artist needs to show the texture of the materials, convey the play of light and shade. While painting a historic miniature the national patterns and fabric colours are depicted on the figure as well as the correspondence of materials and colours on the uniform.
